Summary
Most associations are familiar with and currently utilize the standard call for presentations to select content and speakers that ultimately comprise their annual education portfolio. But is this the best and most strategic approach to deliver experiences that fulfill member needs and drive performance improvement (the new measuring stick of success)? According to a recent report by an ASAE Professional Development Section Council Taskforce, there are at least 20 industry trends and emerging practices associations should consider when making programming decisions. This session is designed to expose association professionals and industry partners to a subset of these practices, including descriptions, pros, cons and key resources to support further exploration. We’ll also share taskforce recommendations and quickstart implementation ideas that are scalable for organizations of any size.
Learning outcomes:
- Develop a content and speaker selection strategy by selecting three emerging practices.
- Improve content and speaker selection by implementing emerging practices effectively.
- Elevate the business case for education by adopting three taskforce insights.
